Guro Edie is the founder of Kampilan Eskrima, and my teacher. She trained in Eskrima at the famous Doce Pares school in Cebu, as well as being a closed-door student of Bonifacio Uy for many years. From this, she developed her own style, which she called “Kampilan Eskrima”, after the Kampilan, the king of Filipino swords.
